It has been a MEAP week in our room this week. The students took the Reading
MEAP and the first day of the Writing MEAP. They were troopers. Thank you, to
all of the parents that were able to send in snacks and drinks for our class. It
was greatly appreciated.
In Language Arts we have been working on
expanding our sentences by adding more details.
In science we have been
continuing to make our observations on our ecosystems. We have been learning
more about food chains and food webs. Key words we have been learning about have
been carnivore, herbivore, omnivore, predator, prey, producers, and
consumers.
Remember that each child has a reading calendar and a
handwriting packet for the month of October that are due 11/2/12. They should be
working on them a little bit every week
